"Nicholas Tindal" engraved by Goldar after a picture by G.Knapton, published as the frontispiece to The History of England ... by M.Rapin de Thoyras, 1784. Tindal translated the history from French into English, also adding notes and a continuation. Copper engraved print. On laid paper with full plate mark. Size 20 x 31.5 cms to plate mark. Ref E4796
