"King Alfred in disguise rebuked by the Neatherd's Wife, for letting the Cakes burn which (she observed) he himself was so fond of" engraved by J.Hall after a picture by Edwards. Published in History of England .., dated 1783. Copper engraved print, with full plate mark. Size 17 x 24 cms including title, plus margins. Ref F2467
