Hadrian departing Rome to quell insurrection in Britain, published 1783

"The Departure of the Emperor Adrian from Rome, in order to quell an insurrection which was raised by the inhabitants of Great Britain against the Roman Yoke of Slavery" engraved by W.Walker after a picture by Monnet, published in Barnard's History of England, 1783. Copper engraved print, full plate mark and good margins. Size 17 x 23.5 cms including titles, plus margins. Ref H813
