[ Statues of King Lud and his two sons. Supposed founder of London, prior to the Romans, these statues were taken from Ludgate when it was demolished ] copper plate etching originally published by N.Smith for the Society of Antiquaries in 1795, this example being bound into Antiquities of London and it's Environs ..., about 1801. Good condition, with full plate mark. Size 17.5 x 22 cms including title and description, plus good margins. Ref G4065
