Shropshire, Bridgnorth Castle, 1786

"Burgh, Brugge, or Bridgnorth Castle" copper engraved print published in Francis Grose's Antiquities of England and Wales, 1786. Descriptive text beneath and on the verso of the print. Good condition with plate mark and good margins. Image size 16 x 11.5 cms, image and text size about 16 x 24 cms, plus margins. (This tower is still standing, it leans at 15 degrees, 4 times the lean of of the leaning tower of Pisa.) Ref G7168
