"Cistern of Bin-Veber-Direg (or the Thousand and One)" engraved by J.Carter after a picture by W.H.Bartlett, published in The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, about 1850. Steel engraved antique print with recent hand colouring. Slight age browning and soiling to upper margin. Size 18.5 x 14.5 cms including title, plus margins. Ref G8122
