"A begging Devotee beating his head against a Stone in order to receive alms" with "A begging Devotee burning combustible Druggs upon his head for the same purpose" and "A Friar doing Penance for breach of chastity" engraved by C.DuBosc after a picture by Bernard Picart, published in Ceremonies and Religious Customs of the Various Nations, about 1730. Copper engraved antique print. Centre fold as published, good condition with full plate mark and good margins. Size 22 x 34 cms to plate mark, plus margins. Ref H5370
