China, Floating Town & boats, 1775

"A Chinese Floating Town" with "Chinese Batsiangs, or Boats, covered with Mats, the Rowers of which are clad in Cocoa Leaves" anonymous engraver, copper engraved print published in Middleton's Complete System of Geography, about 1775. Ragged paper edges and slight soiling , otherwise good condition with full plate mark. Size 17 x 29 cms to plate mark, plus margins. Ref H8102
