"The West Gate & Bridge" engraved by J. Le Keux(?) from a sketch by J. Carter. Published in J. Britton's Picturesque Antiquities of English Cities, 1830. Copper engraved print with recent hand colour. Has a clear plate mark and wide margins. A better than usual impression of one of the most attractive prints showing Gloucester's mediaeval West Gate, which was demolished around 1820. Size 19.5 x 14 cms. Ref C6556
