"Turkey in Europe" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include the Bosphorus & Constantinople, Ali Pasha and a Greek Caloyer. Upper close margin trimmed to just above border, otherwise good condition. Size 33 x 26.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1962
