"Southern Italy" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Naples & Vesuvius, Benevento and Festival of the Vintage. One fox mark, otherwise good condition. Size 31.5 x 24.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins.
