"Natal and Kaffraria" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Entrance to Port Natal, Port Natal & Durban (lower right) and the Seal of the Colony. Good condition. Size 24.5 x 36 cms including decorative border, plus margins.
