"Western Australia, Swan River" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Sheep Shearing, Aborigines, Perth from Mount Aliza and Seal of the Colony. Good condition. Size 24.5 x 34.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G2017
