Monk Seal, Buffon, 1782. "Le Phoque de M Parsons" (monk seal) engraved by Tardieu after a picture by DeSeve, published in Buffon's Histoirre Naturelle, about 1782. Copper engraved print with recent hand colouring. One vertical fold as published, good condition with full plate mark. Size 19 x 20 cms plus margins. Ref E7215
