Cheltenham plan, 1826. [ Plan of Cheltenham ] engraved by T.Radclyffe after a map by J.Tovey, published in Griffith's History of Cheltenham, 1826. Copper engraved map with recent hand colour. An interesting plan, showing the newly built Promenade, leading up to Sherborne Spa, where the Queen's Hotel is now. Also marked is a large crescent, 'Cambray Parade', which was not built. Some vertical creases and close trimmed to upper and lower edges. Size 21 x 22 cms including titles, plus margins. Ref I0370
Gloucestershire, Berkeley Castle Garden, c1840. "North West View" (Berkeley Castle, now a gate to the Garden) lithographed by George Rowe in Cheltenham after a picture by H.Marklove, published by Rowe about 1840. Stone lithograph with recent hand colour. Several closed tears in margins, one just into image on right side, some age toning, otherwise good condition. Scarce. Size 38 x 28.5 cms including title, plus margins. Ref I0360
