Gloucester, old West Gate & Bridge, 1828. "The West Gate & Bridge - Gloucester" engraved by J.C.Varrall from a picture by Pierce. Published in J. Britton's Picturesque Antiquities of English Cities, 1830. Copper engraved print with recent hand colour. Has a clear plate mark and wide margins. One of the best old views of Gloucester with the old West Gate, which was demolished around 1820. Size 19.5 x 14 cms. Ref E4671
