China Silk Manufacture (two prints), 1750. "The Silk Manufacture in China" anonymous engraver, published in the London Magazine, 1750. Pair of copper engraved antique prints showing the production of silk from winding silk from the cocoons to weaving. Each has a vertical fold (flattened) as published and each has a neat tear down the upper few cms of the fold, partly closed and with no loss. Plate 1 has some offsetting. Otherwise good condition with plate marks and good margins. Size 20.5 x 17.5 cms each, plus margins. Ref H4399
