Derbyshire, opening of the Buxton - Matlock Railway, 1863. "Opening of the Buxton and Matlock Railway" with views of Manchester Junction Tunnel, Cressbrook, Monsal Dale and Millersdale Station. (Personal note - my great grandfather worked on the blasting of the tunnels for this line!) Published in The Illustrated London News, June 1863. Full page wood engraving, unrelated text on the verso.
