Africa, large folding map by Stanford, 1894. "Africa, by J.Arrowsmith" linen backed folding map published by Edward Stanford, 26 & 27, Cockspur Street, Charing Cross, S.W., about 1893 acording to pen inscription inside front cover. Chromolithographic map disected into 20 sections, folding neatly into red cloth-backed card covers. Very detailed, with colour coding to the various 'posessions' and regions. Very good condition internally, red covers also in good condition. Size (open) 55 x 68 cms, when folded 11.5 x 18 cms. Ref G5929

Lancashire genealogy, House of Stanley, 1836. "Pedigree of the House of Stanley ...." large family tree from the time of William I(?) down to the 1830s. Published in Lancashire Illustrated, 1836. Several folds as published, some small tears on folds and frayed edges, the worst section visible in my partial scan (it is too large to scan completely.) Size 50 x 66 cms including title, plus margins. Ref G5927

Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, with centrefold and good margins. The decorative vignettes include Yedo, a State Barge and Koreans. Slight age browning, otherwise very good condition. Size 33.5 x 25.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G5926
