"The Late Emperor Paul" of Russia, dated 1804. Kay states that this likeness of Paul I is from an original drawing by a Russian gentleman, who was banished to Siberia for thus having ventured to portray the ugly features of the Imperial Autocrat. Copper etched print published in Kay's Edinburgh Portraits, 1837-8. Size 7.5 x 8.5 cms plus margins. Ref E388
