"Egypt" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Mosque of Sultan Hassan at Cairo, Alexandria, Ruins of Great Temple at Karnac and Sphynx at Giza. Extremely slight soiling and slight age browning, otherwise good condition. Size 25 x 35 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G2002
