"East Canada and New Brunswick" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Quebec, North American Indians and Seal of the Colony (an earlier version had a bison instead of the Seal.) Good condition. Size 34.5 x 26 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G2007
