"England and Wales" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes show London, Doncaster racecourse, Oxford, Newcastle, Portsmouth Harbour and Sunderland Bridge. Slight soiling, otherwise good condition. Size 25.5 x 35 cms including decorative border, plus good margins. Ref G1951
