"Northern Italy" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include the Grand Canal in Venice and St.Peters in Rome. Good condition. Size 31 x 24.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1969
