"Switzerland" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Bern, William Tell shooting the apple, Tyrolese and Chamois Hunters. Good condition. Size 32.5 x 25 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1968
