"Ancient Palestine" classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Cedars of Lebanon, Nazareth and Tomb of Absolom. Good condition. Size 24.5 x 34 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1988
