"Chili and La Plata" (Chile & Argentina) classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1851. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour. The decorative vignettes include Rattlesnake, the Grand Square Beunos Aires, Water Seller of Beunos Aires, The Gobernador and Travellers Post. Centrefold as published, very slight staining, otherwise good condition. Size 24.5 x 34.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G2585
