Byzantine Empire in the 11th century, published 1846. "Das Byzantinische Reich bis in das XIte Jahrhundert" published in Spruner's Historisch-Geographischer hand-Atlas, 1846. Detailed steel engraved map with original hand colouring. Inset plan of Constantinople lower left. Brittle page edges due to ageing and close cropped upper left, otherwise good condition with partial plate mark. Size 43.5 x 34 cms plus margins. Ref F3361

Detailed steel engraved map with original hand colouring. Inset lower right of the Moscow area in 1460. Brittle page edges due to ageing, otherwise good condition with full plate mark. "A New and Accurate Map of Great Britain called England & Wales, from the latest & most Correct Surveys by T.Kitchen ..." published in Barnard's History of England, 1783. Copper engraved map with recent hand colour. Several flattened folds, two closed tears on folds extending about 2 cms into map area on left side, also small area of re-edging upper left with small loss of original neatline. Size 34.5 x 38.5 cms, plus margins. Ref F3330
