Four maps of the Hudson, Button and Baffin Bay regions, Davis Straits and the Coast Labrador, as developed and explored between 1650 and 1750. Several folds as published, narrow margin upper left, lower margin trimmed with some loss of the neatline. Several small (1-2 cm) tears along one fold, with slight loss. Size 37.5 x 29.5 cms plus margins. Ref E9439
North west America, north east Asia & Arctic Regions, Diderot, 1780. Published in the 'Vaugondy Supplement' to Diderot's Encyclopedia, 1772 or 79. Shows the conjectural northwest coast, based upon De Font and Russian Discoverers, including the Bay of the West. Several folds as published, margins of about 1 cm or more, apart from upper left where the map was bound in. Several small (1 cm) tears along one fold (no loss.) Size 37.5 x 29.5 cms plus margins. Ref E9438

Northern western hemisphere on Mercator's projection showing North America and Europe and the supposed North-West passage between Hudson and Baffin Bay and the Arctic Ocean. Several folds as published, margins of about 1 cm or more, apart from lower left where the map was bound in. Size 41.5 x 21 cms plus margins. Ref E9437
