France, Nieve, 1884. "Nieve" steel engraved antique map with original hand colour, published by J.Migeon in France et Ses Colonies, 1884. Vignette view of the departmental capital, Nevers, upper right, the other principle towns marked on the map are Clamecy, Cosne, and Chateau-Chinon. Good condition. Size 22 x 18 cms plus good margins. Vignette view of the departmental capital, Lille, lower left and Dunkirk upper right. The other principle towns marked on the map are Cambrai, Douai, Dunkerque, Hazerbrouck and Valenciennes. (NOTE - the horizontal discontinuity to the lower section is caused by the scanning process and does not exist on the map itself.) Ref E7427

Copper engraved map with recent hand colour. Several (flattened) folds as published, narrow margins as with most of these maps. Size 33.5 x 22 cms plus narrow margins. Ref E7369
Europe at the start of the 6th century, 1846. "Europa im anfang des VI: jahrhunderts" published in Spruner's Historisch-Geographischer hand-Atlas, 1846. Finely detailed steel engraved map with original hand colouring. Some age browning and brittle around the edges, chipped with some loss to upper margin. Size 40 x 32 cms. Ref E7367

Finely detailed steel engraved map with original hand colouring. Two lower maps show the world according to Ptolomy, Eratosthenes and Strabo. Some age browning and very brittle around the edges, chipped with some loss to upper margin. Size 38.5 x 34 cms. Ref E7366
