Edward the Martyr assassinated at Corfe Castle (in 978 AD), 1779. "Edward the Martyr stabb'd by order of his Step Mother, Elfrida" (Corfe castle in Dorsetshire, on 18th March 978) engraved by Grignion after a picture by Wale, published in The Modern Universal British Traveller, about 1779.
