Ireland on 2 large sheets, 1864. " Ireland " by J.Bartholomew, published in Philips' Imperial Library Atlas (edited by William Hughes), London, 1864. Chromo-lithographic maps on two large sheets, each with a centrefold as published, the southern map having an inset map of the Dublin area. Slight soiling and edge browning to each map. Size 61 x 50 cms each. Ref E2714
France, 1825. " Carte de France en Departments et Divisions Militaires " by A.H.Brue, published in the Atlas Universel, about 1826 (map dated 1820.) Detailed copper engraved map with original hand colouring. Centrefold plus one other vertical fold to the right side, as published. Plate mark and good margins. Size of engraved area 72 x 51 cms. Closed split to lower 8 cms of centrefold, extending 6 cms into image area. Slight soiling and dampstain to upper corners.
