"Banco to the Knave" drawn and etched by James Gillray, originally published by Hannah Humphrey in 1782, this is from the later Bohn edition of about 1850. . Etching with recent hand colour. Small tear of 1 cm in upper margin, just to the image edge (no loss). otherwise very good condition, on the reverse is another (uncoloured) plate "St.George & the Dragon" with Admiral Rodney smiting the French dragon (the Bohn edition plates were printed back-to-back.) Size 33 x 25 cms including title, plus margins. Ref H6307

The three young ladies were well known at the time said to be the daughters of Lord Huntingtower. Etching with recent hand colour. Very good condition, on the reverse is part of another plate (the Bohn edition plates were printed back-to-back.) Size 20 x 25.5 cms including title, plus margins. Ref H6306
