"Charles 1st taking leave of his Children" (prior to his execution in January 1649), engraved by C.Grignion after a drawing by S.Wale, published in A New History of England by Mr. Mortimer, London, 1764. Dedicated to His Grace Charles Dowglas, Duke of Dover, with his crest below the image. Copper engraved print with recent hand colour. Clear plate mark and good margins. Size 16 x 25 cms to plate mark. Ref D6175
