"Islands in the Atlantic" (with Bermuda, Madeira, the Azores, Canaries and Capo Verde Islands) classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Fayal, Villa Franca and Pico in the Azores, Funchal in Madeira and Teneriffe. Good condition. Size 25 x 35.5 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1975
