Prussia, large map, 1867. "Prussia" by J.Bartholomew, published in Philip's General Atlas of the World, 1867. Large colour lithographic map with centrefold as published, tear of 2 cms in lower centre, just into neatline, otherwise good condition. Size 65 x 52 cms plus margins. The World in hemispheres, 1845. "The World" in hemispheres. Anonymous steel engraved map with original hand colour, published about 1845. (On close inspecton Texas can be seen is shown as a separate country.) Three folds as published, close trimmed to upper margin, just above the title. Size 48 x 26.5 cms, plus margins. Ref F1314
United States (mid Atlantic region), 1770. "A Correct Map of North America" engraved by Paas, Holborn, published about 1770 or later. Inset map of parts of South Carolina and Georgia. Scarce copper engraved map with recent hand colouring. Several (flattened) folds as published, closed but visible tear of about 4 cms into title area and close cropped (to neatline) with slight creasing lower right below tear. Size 29 x 21 cms plus margins. Ref F1312
South America (Panama, Columbia, Ecuador), 1795. "Map of the Countries on the South Sea from Panama to Guayquil" by Thomas Kitchin, published in the Rev. Dr. Robertson's History of America, about 1795 (dated 1777). Copper engraved map with recent hand colour. Close trimmed almost to neatline upper right, otherwise good condition with partial plate mark. Size 24 x 37 cms plus margins. Ref f1311

Northern Europe, 1790. "The Northern States of Europe including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia. Prussia & Holland" engraved by C. Paas and published in a gazetteer about 1790. Copper engraved map with recent hand colouring. Several (flattened) folds as published, slight creasing, several closed tears into map area, suitable for decorative purposes. Size 28.5 x 21 cms.
