Northern India, Tallis, 1850. "Northern India, Including the Presidency of Calcutta" drawn and engraved by J.Rapkin, published about 1850. Classic steel engraved Tallis map with original outline hand colour. The vignettes show the Juggernaut, British Residency at Hyderabad, a Tiger Hunt and Old Delhi ruins. Centre-fold as published, strong crease down centrefold which would show when framed. Size 32 x 24.5 cms. Ref F4940
Egypt, Tallis, 1850. "Egypt and Arabia Petraea" drawn and engraved by J.Rapkin, published about 1850. Classic steel engraved Tallis map with original outline hand colour. The vignettes show Mosque of Sultan Hassan, Alexandria, Karnac ruins and the Sphinx. Centre-fold as published, strong crease across centrefold which would show when framed. Size 25.5 x 34.5 cms. Ireland, route map with Colerain, Portrush and Dungiven, 1783. [ Dungiven to Colerain route ] engraved by G.Terry and published in Taylor and Skinner's Maps of the Roads of Ireland, (2nd edition), 1783. On the verso is part of a route to Colerain, including Garvagh, Swatteragh and Kilrea. Copper engraved map. Size 12 x 21.5 cms plus good margins. Ref F4896

[ Part of the Dublin to Londonderry route, including Clogher, Ballygawly and Emyvale ] engraved by G.Terry and published in Taylor and Skinner's Maps of the Roads of Ireland, (2nd edition), 1783. On the verso is part of the same route, including Omagh, Newtonstewart, Strabane and Lifford. Copper engraved map. Size 12 x 21.5 cms plus good margins. Ref F4895

Copper engraved map with recent hand colouring. Some creasing and very slight sloiling, right margin damaged and professionally repaired, without loss. Very decorative. Size 49 x 37 cms plus margins. Africa, 1807. "Africa from the Best Authorities" engraved by B.Baker, copper engraved map published in The General Gazetteer, 1807. Recent hand colouring. Two flattened folds, lower left corner missing and repaired with slight loss of neatline. Size 23.5 x 19.5 cms plus margins. Ref F4873

Persia (Iran & Iraq), about 1820. "Persia Drawn from the most respectable Authorities" anonymous copper engraved map with original hand colouring, published about 1820. Several (flattened) folds as published, lower right corner close cropped and augmented, not affecting the map area. Size 26 x 21.5 cms. Ref F4789

Engraved by W.Harrison after a survey possibly by Bligh, with a view possibly by Ellis, published in Cook's A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean ..., 1785. Copper engraved map with recent hand colour, good condition. Size 21 x 26 cms plus good margins with plate mark. Ref F4788

Kitchin Geogr" pair of copper engraved maps by Kitchin published in Busching's A New System of Geography, 1762. Recent hand colour. Both maps have small repaired holes to upper right corner, otherwise good condition and very decorative. Size 27.5 x 22 cms each, plus margins. Ref F4786
