World on mercator's Projection, 1823. "Chart of the World" engraved by W. Swann, published in Barclay's Universal Dictionary, 1823. Copper engraved map with full original hand colouring. Moderately severe foxing and staining, mainly in the margins. Size 24.5 x 17.5 cms plus margins. Ref F1830

Friendly Islands, Tongataboo Island and Harbour chart, 1799. "Chart of the Island and Harbour of Tongataboo by Wm. Wilson" (Friendly Islands), engraved by T.Foot and published by T.Chapman, 1799. Copper engraved map with recent hand colour, several (flattened) folds as published, slight soiling and close trimmed to left neatline, creased to top left corner. Size 38.5 x 28 cms, plus margins. 'Geography', (with world map), Richard Blome, 1686. "Geography" by Richard Blome, published in The Gentleman's Recreation, about 1686. This print shows the concepts of geography with divisions of the world by continent, by seas, mountains, rivers etc. with a small double hemisphere world map a centre, with California shown as an island. This is surrounded by an oval band with small scenes showing how the Earth is split into ever smaller divisions from Realms down to Inches and Barley-Corns. A globe is shown lower righ, a mapmaker lower left, upper left is a dedication to George Berkeley (dated 1678), with his coat of arms upper right. Copper engraving with recent hand colouring. Close cropped all around with old closed tear of 5 cms into lower centre. Size 24 x 38.5 cms plus margins. Ref F1150
