British Isles, Ethnographic, 1850. "Ethnographic Map of Great Britain and Ireland" engraved by W. & A.K. Johnston, published by William Blackwood & Sons in Johnston's Physical Atlas of Natural Phenomena, 1850. Steel engraved map with original hand colour. Good condition with plate mark and wide margins. Size 20.5 x 26.5 cms. Ref F2886
South East England, by Mercator, published about 1609. "'Warwicum, Northamtonia, Huntingdonia, Cantabrigia, Suffolcia, Oxonium ..." (the South East Counties of England including Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Middlesex, Berkshire, Essex, Hampshire, Suffolk etc.) by Gerard Mercator, published about 1609 or later. Copper engraved map, very good condition with wide margins, centrefold as published and French text on the reverse. Size 47 x 37 cms plus margins. Ref F2778

Steel engraved 'map' with recent hand colour. Close trimmed to left and right margins, almost to image edge on right side (these maps were very often tightly trimmed by the publishers). Size 20.5 x 25 cms plus margins. Ref F2052
