Large map of India, with Singapore, 1856. "India" (with inset of Singapore) engraved by Sidney Hall, published in Black's General Atlas, 1856. Double page lithographic map with original hand colouring. centrefold as published. Split in fold to left side of about 2 cms, just into neatline (no loss), narrow right margin and very slight browning to page edges. Size 42 x 57 cms plus margins. Ref F5057

Northern India, Tallis, 1850. "Northern India, Including the Presidency of Calcutta" drawn and engraved by J.Rapkin, published about 1850. Classic steel engraved Tallis map with original outline hand colour. The vignettes show the Juggernaut, British Residency at Hyderabad, a Tiger Hunt and Old Delhi ruins. Centre-fold as published, strong crease down centrefold which would show when framed. Size 32 x 24.5 cms. Ref F4940

Inset of the Island of Singapore lower right. Right margin close trimmed to about 5mm of image edge and extremely slight soiling, otherwise good condition. Size 42 x 56 cms plus good margins. Scarce large lithographic map with full original hand colouring, coded to indicate British Territories (red), Territories under British Protection (yellow) and Independant States (green.) Very slight soiling, otherwise good condition. Size 43.5 x 60 cms plus good margins. (Please note this is a digital camera image - there is some tonal variation due to uneven lighting.) Ref F188
